Skoda Octavia vRS starts reaching dealerships

Skoda Auto had showcased their upcoming models at the Auto Expo this year and one of the models that was launched at their pavilion during that time was the Octavia vRS. There is no doubt about the fact that the Skoda Octavia vRS is one of the best looking high performance sedan in the country. It is a sedan aimed at driving enthusiasts who want a regular looking car that can seat five and also is capable of having fun on an open road or a track. Skoda has now started dispatching vRS and the the same was spotted at a dealership recently.

The images of the Skoda OCtavia vRS at the dealership stockyard has been published on team-Bhp. Skoda had already started taking bookings for the 2020 Skoda Octavia vRS soon after its launch in February. The deliveries for the same however would only be starting after the nationwide lockdown due to the Corona virus pandemic is lifted. Coming to the design part, The Skoda Octavia vRS looks very similar to the regular Octavia.

It has some variation from the regular version like a gloss black grille with vRS badging, sporty looking alloy wheels, smoke headlamps and a boot lid spoiler. On the inside it has a flat bottom steering with vRS badging and red stitching on it. The whole cabin gets a black theme with red stitching to give it a powerful car appeal. It even has a vRS mode that alters the power delivery and gear shift of the car depending upon the mode chosen by the driver.

Coming to the engine, The Skoda Octavia vRS 2020 edition is the most powerful version of the sedan ever sold in the country. It is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine which generates 245 bhp and 370 Nm of peak torque. The engine mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. It is capable of doing 0-100 kmph sprint in just 6.6 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kmph. The Skoda Octavia vRS will be sold in India as a CBU and only 200 units of the car will be made available to the customers. The price for 2020 Skoda Octavia vRS is 35.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Skoda has also started taking booking for Rapid 1.0 TSI and Karoq SUV. Delivery for these cars would also start in the coming months, once the Corona Virus lockdown is lifted. It’s likely that the lockdown would be extended until the end of April 2020.
