The upcoming Skoda Slavia is going to be marketed as a premium mid-size sedan and that means it is going to be priced slightly more expensive than the current Skoda Rapid. Some of our friends from media fraternity have already driven the prototype of the Skoda Slavia and videos of the same are available online. In terms of dimensions, the Skoda Slavia is longer than Skoda Rapid. It is in fact longer than Hyundai Verna and Maruti Ciaz and slightly shorter than new gen Honda City. It however offers a longer wheelbase than any other car in the segment.
The sedan is expected to get features like Skoda signature butterfly grille, all LED headlamps, The overall side profile of the car looks distinctly Skoda it is expected to get sharp and muscular looking body design with several character lines. The sedan will offer other features like touchscreen infotainment screen, premium looking interiors, digital instrument cluster, premium sound system, ventilated seats feature, alloy wheels and many more features. The top-end variant might also offer an electric sunroof as well. The Skoda Slavia is a mid size sedan that is based on the same platform as Kushaq.
Skoda Slavia will be powered by the same engine that is used in Kushaq SUV. The lower trims would be getting the 1.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates 115 Ps and 178 Nm of peak torque. This engine will be offered with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The higher variants of the Slavia will be offered with the 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine that generates 150 Ps and 250 Nm of torque. It will be offered with a manual and a DSG transmission.
