Skoda Slavia deliveries begin [Video]

Skoda Auto has started deliveries of their recently launched Slavia. The deliveries have begun only for the 1.0-litre TSI engine, the deliveries of the 1.5-litre TSI will begin from March 3. Here, we have a video of the Skoda Slavia being delivered to an new customer.

The video is uploaded on YouTube by Shubham Gandhi. The variant that we see in the video is the Ambition variant which is the mid-spec trim. The lower-spec trim is called Active while the top-end trim is called Style.

The Slavia is finished in an elegant shade of white, Skoda calls it Candy White. The sedan is also offered in Tornado Red, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver and Crystal Blue. There are no dual-tone colours on offer.

The price of the Ambition variant is Rs. 12.39 lakhs for the manual gearbox and Rs. 13.59 lakhs for the automatic gearbox. The base variant is priced at Rs. 10.69 lakhs and it is not offered with an automatic transmission. The Style MT is priced at Rs. 13.99 lakhs and the Style AT is priced at Rs. 15.39 lakhs. You can also get the Style MT without a sunroof. It costs Rs. 13.59 lakhs. All the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

The Ambition variant does not come with the L-shaped LED Daytime Running Lamps instead, it gets a regular small strip. There are no projector headlamps nor there is an LED setup. It gets a regular halogen setup. You do get fog lamps and a chrome garnish for the fog lamp housing and Skoda’s butterfly grille.

The alloy wheels measure 16-inches and are regular units, they do not have a diamond-cut finish. The tyre size measure 205/55 R16. The turn indicators are mounted on the outside rearview mirrors and you also get chrome finished door handles. There is also a Skoda badge on the front fenders. At the rear, there are split LED tail lamps and Skoda lettering.

The interior is finished in a dual-tone theme of black and beige. There is soft touch materials on the door pads. At the rear, there are rear AC vents, an armrest with two cup holders and three adjustable headrests. The rear occupants also get their own two Type C ports to charge the mobile devices.

There is also an armrest in the front. The driver gets an analogue instrument cluster with a multi-information display and multi-function steering wheel with two-spokes. There is also automatic climate control, keyless entry, cruise control, push button to start/stop the engine, air purifier, two USB Type C ports, cooled glovebox, umbrella holders, 12v accessory socket and cupholders. Moreover, there is also a touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

As mentioned above, currently deliveries only of the 1.0-litre TSI have commenced. The engine produces 115 PS of max power and 178 Nm of peak torque. It is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

There will also be a 1.5-litre TSI that will produce 150 PS of max power and 250 Nm of peak torque. It will come with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. This engine is expected to be offered only on the top-end Style variant.
