Skoda to launch 3 new models this year

At a press conference yesterday, Skoda revealed that they would be launching 3 new products by the end of the year. The first will be the Rapid Monte Carlo, which will be introduced next week.

The vehicle will be similar to the euro spec Monte Carlo which means it’ll have black accents all over, black rims and black mirror caps. On the inside, it’ll get new black interiors and a new steering wheel with red stitching.

The next car, which will be launched later in the month will be the highly anticipated RS. Skoda showcased the international range of engines they offer, however it is believed that only the 2.0 liter TSi engine is expected that makes 230 Bhp and 350 Nm. The vehicle will do 0-100 in 6.7 seconds. I’m addition to this, the vehicle will get the RS styling, which includes the front and rear bumper, new spoiler and new alloys. On the inside, you’ll get a new steering wheel in addition to a whole host of new safety features. Indian specifications will only be revealed later in the month, closer to the launch. The third vehicle will be the Kodiaq. The SUV is the company’s largest one and is their flagship model. It is expected with a 2.0 liter diesel engine who’s output is not confirmed yet. It could be the 140 Bhp trim from the Tiguan or could also be the 184 Bhp trim. The vehicle will have LED lights and a whole host of features like 180 degree cameras. The vehicle will be offered with a 4×4 variant, as seen from spy shots. The company has revealed that it’ll be unveiled in Q4 of 2017. We expect the pricing to be around the Rs 30 lakh mark.
