2014 Skoda Superb Facelift
The car gets a makeover in terms of the exterior design while the insides get minor tweaks to appear more fresher. The facelifted model will keep the Superb brand warm until an all new MQB platform based model will replace it next year. Engines and transmissions of the facelifted Superb remain unchanged. A 2 liter TDI turbo diesel engine (138 Bhp-320 Nm) and a 1.8 liter TSI turbo petrol engine (158 Bhp-250 Nm) will be carried over, along with the 6 speed manual and DSG automatic gearboxes for the diesel variant, and the 6 speed manual and 7 speed DSG automatic gearboxes for the petrol variant. The facelifted Superb is likely to be pricier than the outgoing version.

While the less powerful engine gets a 5 speed manual gearbox driving the front wheels of the Yeti, the more powerful diesel motor gets a 6 speed manual gearbox that drives all four wheels of the crossover through a Haldex clutch system.
Skoda Rapid Ultima

The Rapid Ultima is a special edition version of the C-Segment car from Skoda. The Rapid Ultima adds two tone finishes for the dashboard and the leather seats while the outsides of the car get graphics and the “ultima edition” badging. The car is likely to be a diesel-only affair with the 1.6 liter TDI turbo diesel engine (104 Bhp-250 Nm) being retained along with the 5 speed manual gearbox. Skoda India is likely to launch the Euro-styled Rapid in India as a part of the car’s next facelift.
