South Indian actor Babloo Prithiveeraj speaks about his new Mahindra Thar – his 97th car

Mahindra Thar is one of the most popular SUV in the market at the moment. It became popular among buyers in a short span of time. Mahindra Thar became so popular that it currently has a waiting period of over an year. Many celebrities have also bought this SUV for its rugged looks and off-road capabilities. It is currently the most affordable 4×4 SUV in the market. Actor Babloo Prithveeraj, who is popular in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada film industry also owns a current generation. Here we have a video of the actor talking about his experience with the Mahindra Thar.

The video has been uploaded by King Prithiveeraj on his YouTube channel. Actor Babloo is a car enthusiast and has owned several cars in the past. He can be heard saying in the video that the Mahindra Thar is his 97th vehicle. His first car was a Hindustan Ambassador Mk II which his father gave to him. After that he bought several cars and two-wheelers for himself.

Before Mahindra Thar, he used to own a Willys. The problem with the Willys was that it was too crude and had no modern features like power steering in it. When Mahindra launched Thar, he went ahead and checked out the vehicle. He was impressed with the overall looks, features and price of the car. He calls it a value for money product. He opted for the LX soft top convertible version.

The Mahindra Thar he’s currently using is the petrol automatic version. He really liked the positioning of the speakers on the roof and said that it gives him a clear sound output even when the roof is down. He then moves ahead and shows how to fold the convertible roof down.

He talks about the small boot space and a woofer is also seen here which means, the audio setup on this SUV has been upgraded. Babloo then talks about the upcoming 5-door version of Mahindra Thar. Most of the time, he travels alone in his car but, if there are more passengers, getting into the rear row of seats is bit of a task. He says, the 5 door version would make getting in and out of the back seat of the SUV a lot more easier. The soft top on the Thar tends to get noisy whenever he puts it back after getting it down.

Babloo then spoke about the service experience and was happy about that as well. He said, the service centre contacts him when it is time for service. If he is not available to drop the vehicle, the service centre gets the vehicle picked up as well. Overall the actor is happy with ownership experience of new Mahindra Thar and said it suits him too. He does not speak anything about doing off-roading in his Thar. Mahindra Thar is available in both petrol and diesel engine option. Both engines come with manual and automatic transmission as standard. 4×4 is also being offered as a standard feature in the SUV.
