While the world is waiting for a facelifted version of the Tata Harrier SUV, Tata Motors might instead pull off a surprise by bringing in yet another limited-edition version of the SUV. Recently, a few pictures of the Tata Harrier Dark Edition were spied, which sports various red-themed highlights, indicating that a new limited edition version of the Harrier is in the works.
In a set of few pictures uploaded by Motorbeam, we can see a Dark Edition version of the Tata Harrier with various red-themed highlights, which have never been seen in the SUV. In these pictures, the Tata Harrier can be seen in a black exterior paint shade with a red-themed interior. Here, the front and rear seats and door armrests are seen in a theme of red. In addition to these, this Harrier also gets red-coloured front brake callipers and a touch of red on the front grille, which is otherwise finished in gloss black.

A red cabin
While the use of red for the theme of seats, door armrests, brake callipers and front grille insert can look overdone to some, it surely adds a sporty contrast to the black exterior shade of the SUV. Currently, the Dark Edition of Tata Harrier comes with an Oberon Black exterior paint shade along with all-black interiors. While Tata Motors has not confirmed any details of this Harrier with red interiors, considering the SUV looks production ready, this Harrier with red-themed interior might launch within a couple of weeks.
Currently, apart from the Dark Edition, the Tata Harrier is also available in two other special edition versions – Jet Edition with Starlight paint scheme and Kaziranga Edition with Grassland Beige paint scheme. In addition to these special edition versions, the Tata Harrier is also available in other mainstream colours like Royale Blue, Tropical Mist, Calypso Red, Orcus White and Daytona Grey.
The current version of the Tata Harrier, which was launched at the beginning of 2020, is available solely with a 2.0-litre diesel engine option, which produces 170 PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of maximum torque. The new Harrier with red interiors will be retaining this diesel engine as well. This diesel engine is available with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options. Tata Motors is already working on a facelifted version of the SUV, which is expected to receive mild tweaks to the front and rear profiles and a few new features, including ADAS.
