Can style go hand in hand with performance, or do the two entities need to be separate? What if you get this very combination on a motorcycle that is not just affordable but is also usable on an everyday basis? This is what Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) is cooking up for you. While you can have the #styleorperformance debate on Twitter, Honda will use today, the 18th of December, to unveil its latest motorcycle for the Indian market.
The bike that Honda is coming up with will it in the sporty commuter segment, as an alternate to the likes of the Yamaha FZ16 and the Suzuki Gixxer. Featuring the bloodline of Honda’s very first motorcycle for India, the new bike is in a sense, a comeback bike for the Japanese two wheeler giant in the sporty commuter segment. With the new motorcycle, it isn’t only style and performance that Honda is lining up for bikers. Mileage is another key focus area for the new Honda motorcycle.
An all rounder is what you can expect from Honda later today, albeit with a hot new design. This motorcycle’s production will commence from early next year, with bookings to begin right from today. Actual deliveries will also start from January 2015 as Honda wants to give buyers a 2015 model year bike that will hold its value better than a December 2014 produced vehicle. Expect the new Honda to be launched at an ex-showroom price that is a little under 70,000 rupees.
