Earlier today, Suzuki launched the ‘baby’ Intruder cruiser motorcycle. This 150 cc bike goes up against an established rival – the Bajaj Avenger 150. Come with us as we take you through the ad video of the motorcycle, along with a bunch of studio shots.

As the video above indicates, the Intruder is substantial, and much larger than the Avenger 150. In fact, the size alone should send a fair share of buyers into Suzuki showrooms.
This cruiser seems to have been designed with a singular brief – to look like a scaled down version of its big brother, the 1,800 cc Intruder. Suzuki’s designers have pulled it off but fans of clean looks may simply stay away. Notice the enormous use on plastic to beef up the 155 cc bike.
Amid all that plastic, there’s a 155 cc four stroke engine borrowed from the Gixxer, almost hidden. The 17 inch wheels with 100 and 140 section tyres at the front and rear respectively, look small in comparison to the bulk that the bike’s body exudes.
The twin barrel exhaust is another key design element meant to make this bike look BIG. The rider will sit comfortably with arms and foot stretched out – this bike offers a proper cruiser riding position.
Apart from black, there’s also a grey/silver colour on offer with this bike. Design elements stand out on this lighter coloured version. The split seats terminate in a bulbous grab rail. This bike deserves at least a 250 cc engine, no? And maybe broader tyres too.
The LED headlamp for a cruiser in this segment is a first, and at night, expect this bike to announce its arrival from quite a distance away.
In case you haven’t noticed, the instrumentation is fully digital, with the console borrowed from the Gixxer. We like the ABS unit, though it’s single-channel. And the sharp price tag of Rs. 98,340.
