All-new Suzuki S-Cross to be revealed in November 2021: Fresh details surface

According to MotorES, Suzuki will be revealing the new generation of S-Cross in November. The information was revealed by Lopez Frade who is the President of Suzuki Ibérica. The third-generation of S-Cross will be presented by the end of November in Spain.

Lopez Frade said “Yes. The S-Cross is now in its third generation and we will have a presentation of the new model at the end of November,possibly in the last week. And if everything goes well and we do not have supply problems of this model, I hope it can reach the dealers at Christmas as a good Christmas gift, for anyone who wants a good car,”

Suzuki is working on electrification extensively for its vehicles. Currently, they offer mild hybrid technology that provides torque assist and boost fuel efficiency. 2022 S-Cross is expected to come with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol that we have seen on many vehicles in India also.

The engine produces 104 bhp of max power and 138 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. However, it is expected that Suzuki will finally upgrade to a 6-speed torque converter unit. The engine would also get a strong hybrid technology.

There would also be a more powerful 1.4-litre BoosterJet engine on offer. This engine produces 127 bhp of max power and 235 Nm of peak torque. This engine will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. This powertrain is already doing duty on the Swift Sport. Suzuki will also be offering the new gen S-Cross with AllGrip 4×4 drivetrain.

In India, we can expect the new gen S-Cross to go on sale in late 2022 or 2023. We will also get the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. There will be no diesel engine on offer. The headlamps and tail lamps will be all-new just like the design. We do not know whether the S-Cross will be redesigned as a crossover or a SUV. Interestingly, there has not been any spy shots of the 2022 S-Cross.

Maruti Suzuki working on new vehicles

Three vehicles of Maruti Suzuki has been spied ahead of launch. There is the Celerrio, Alto and the Baleno. The rest of the vehicles are still in early stages of development.

Celerio

The new gen of Celerio has already started reaching the dealerships. It will be launched on November 10th. The design of the 2021 Celerio is a big departure from the previous Celerio. It will also come with a new engine that will make the Celerio, the most fuel efficient vehicle in the segment.

Alto

Alto is the latest vehicle that has been spotted on the Indian roads. It gets a redesigned front-end that now looks more aggressive.We know that it gets redesigned headlamps and tail lamps as well. We expect to see the new Alto at the Auto Expo next year.

Baleno

Maruti Suzuki is also working on a new generation of Baleno. We are expecting a heavily revised front end with LED headlamps, LED Daytime Running Lamps and a new bumper. The interior will also be new with a slightly redesigned instrument cluster and a new larger infotainment system.
