The transmission also uses artificial intelligence to learn the behaviour of shifts. Tata says that the all-new transmission gets in-house developed software that ensures flawless shifts.

It is a wet clutch technology with shift-by-wire. The system also self diagnoses itself using the proprietory software. Tata also claims that the new Altroz DCA has been tested in various parts of the country and it works perfectly everywhere. The new Altroz DCA is tested in Khardung La, Rajasthan, Cherapunji and every other corner of the country to test thoroughly.

The transmission can engage the park mode in the car if it senses the driver is not present and the engine is on. It also gets a number of other safety features.
