On the inside, the Altroz looks inspired by the Tata Tiago. It gets highlighted HVAC vents, which are painted in the body colour of the car. In the middle, there is a floating-type infotainment screen, which gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The dashboard looks clean and we can only see a few buttons for the climate control and the infotainment system. It gets soft-touch material that adds a premium feel to the vehicle. The steering wheel gets buttons that can be used to control the infotainment system and the instrument cluster too.

The instrument cluster is not visible in the picture but it is inspired by the Tata Harrier’s instrument cluster. It gets a semi-digital instrument cluster just like the Harrier but the shape of the instrument cluster is slightly different in the Harrier. We can also spot the engine start/stop button placed on the side of the steering wheel. The picture also shows fabric seat covers.

Tata has not officially revealed the engine details of the Tata Altroz but it is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that also powers the Tiago. The diesel variants will get the 1.5-litre turbocharged engine that powers the Nexon. There is a possibility that Tata will also offer the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with the Altroz, which is also available with the Nexon. We can expect Tata to offer an automatic transmission with the Altroz too. We will bring you more information as we get it.

The upcoming Altroz is expected be launched by the end of this year and will be priced much lower than the compeition like the Maruti Suzuki Baleno in the market. This has always been the strategy of Tata in the Indian market and it will continue to use the same strategy in the future too.
