Tata Harrier is currently one of the most popular mid size SUV in the country. It has been in the market for couple of years. Tata Harrier competes with cars like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos in the segment. Tata launched an updated version of harrier with a much more powerful BS6 engine in 2019. Dark edition of Harrier also became an instant hit in the market. We have seen examples of modified Tata Harrier SUVs in India and here we have one such video where interiors of a Dark Edition Tata Harrier have been customised to look more premium.
The video has been uploaded by Car Man India on their YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger talks about all the customisation that are done to the interior of the car. The Harrier seen in the video looks like a lower variant which comes with fabric seat covers. The main update on the car are the seats. The fabric seat covers on the Harrier have been replaced with a custom made PU seat covers. The seat cover gets black and brown dual tone finish which looks elegant on the car.

The fit and finish on the seat covers is good and there are no wrinkles to be seen anywhere. Vlogger also made other changes to cabin to give it an upmarket feel. Matte black inserts on the steering wheel and the dashboard were hydro dipped. They now get a wooden panel like design to them. The steering was wrapped in black leather material and it gets brown contrast stitching. The plastic trims around the power window switch was finished in gloss black. The door panel was wrapped leather and and the inner grab handle gets gloss black insert to it.
Overall, the work done on this Harrier is not too much. This video is actually an example that shows at time you don’t have to do a lot of modifications to make the cabin look premium or upmarket. These subtle customisation have changed the overall look and feel of the car completely. The whole cabin theme goes well with exterior colour of the SUV.
Tata Harrier is offered with several features. The top-end version of the SUV comes with electrically adjustable driver seat, panoramic sunroof, multi-function steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment system, JBL speaker system, leather upholstery, semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, auto-dimming IRVMs and so on. Tata Harrier is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine. The engine generates 170 Ps and 350 nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.
A seven seater SUV based on Harrier was launched in the market earlier this year. It is named after the iconic SUV Safari. The all-new Safari is based on the same platform as Harrier. It is slightly taller and longer than Harrier and it offers a third row of seat. Tata also launched Gold edition of the Safari in the market with more premium looking interiors and features like ventilated seats for both front and rear seat passengers, wireless charging and so on.
