Tata Harrier Limousine Edition on video

Tata Harrier is one of the popular mid-size SUVs sold in India. It competes with cars like Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, MG Hector in the segment. It is based on the H5X concept that was showcased at 2018 Auto Expo. The Harrier SUV production version had design elements that were seen in the concept model. Earlier this year, Tata updated the Harrier to meet new emission norms and also introduced an automatic transmission which was missing in Harrier before. Here we have a video that shows how Harrier would look like if a Limousine version was available specifically for higher level government officials.

The video has been uploaded by SRK Designs on their youtube channel. The video starts by increasing the wheelbase of a regular Harrier. The artist does not make many changes to give it the desired look. The main modifications or changes are done to the side profile of the SUV. It now gets a large window area and an additional pillar to add strength to the body can also be seen.

The window area is all finished in chrome to give it that premium finish. It offers more space on the inside as it is longer and the rear door is also pushed back to give it that ‘Limousine’ look. The door handles retain chrome finish and the whole car gets a black treatment. The wheels have also been replaced. The stock dual tone machine cut alloy wheels that were available on the BS6 version have been replaced with units that we have earlier seen in Maybach. The windows are all tinted for security purposes and the side fender even gets an small Indian flag on it.

The chrome bits on the front grille, fog lamp area are all retained and the car looks a bit more premium than regular version. The regular version or the BS6 version of Harrier got several updates like redesigned ORVMs, auto-dimming IRVMs, new set of alloys, electrically adjustable driver side seat an automatic transmission and so on. The Tata Harrier is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine that generates 170 Ps and 350 Nm of peak torque. Along with a 6-speed automatic transmission, Harrier is also available with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Limousine version seen above is just an imagination and Tata has no plans of developing such a version. What they’ll soon be launching is a 6-seater version of Harrier which will be known as Gravitas.
