Tata Harrier has become one of the most popular new launches in the Indian market. The all-new car from the Indian brand has a long waiting period on it and every month more than 2,000 units of the SUV are being sold in the market. The Tata Harrier is quickly becoming a common sight. This video on the channel Jabroo shows the son and daughter-in-law planning a big surprise for the parents on their anniversary.

Tata Harrier as a gift

The couple plans out to surprise the parents on their anniversary by planning a breakfast outing. The family goes to a restaurant for having breakfast and the couple also invites the extended family to make the occasion feel much more special. After the cake cutting ceremony in the restaurant, the family moves out. In the meantime, a Tata Motors dealership employee drove the vehicle from the dealership and parked it right outside the restaurant. By the time, the family comes out, the Tata Harrier was already parked outside the restaurant. The son then tells his parents about the surprise and both of them look visibly happy after getting to know about the surprise.

The father goes and sits on the driver-side of the vehicle while the mother comes and gives a tight hug to son. At the end of the video, the mother can be seen sitting on the co-driver seat and the family driving back happily with the Harrier.

The Tata Harrier looks quite intimidating on the roads. It has a massive road presence, thanks to its modern IMPACT 2.0 design theme. The all-new Tata Harrier is currently powered only by a diesel engine option and there is no automatic transmission available with the car. Tata Harrier gets the 2.0-litre KRYOTEC engine, which is sourced from Fiat. It is the same Multijet engine that powers the Jeep Compass in the Indian market. In the Harrier, the engine produces a maximum power of 140 PS and peak torque of 350 Nm. It gets a standard 6-speed transmission. Tata has already started testing the BS-VI version of the engine in the Harrier and it is expected to be launched by the end of this year or early next year.

Tata will also launch a 7-seater version of the Harrier, which gets the name – Buzzard. It will share all the mechanicals with the Harrier but it will offer three-row seating. It will be much longer in size than the Harrier too. Soon, Tata may also launch the 6-speed automatic transmission with the Harrier sourced from Hyundai. The new transmission is likely to be offered with the upgraded BS-VI engine option. The Tata Harrier gets a value-for-money price tag of Rs 12.69 lakh and it takes on the likes of Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV500 and the upper variants of the Hyundai Creta.
