Tata Hexa spotted in the Ladakh region

Tata has been working on the Hexa since a very long time. The Indian manufacturer showcased the production ready model of the crossover at the Auto Expo 2016 held earlier this year. Now that the company is getting closer to the launch, Tata is preparing advertorial material to promote the vehicle.

As seen on TBHP, the car was caught while posing for cameras on the Manali-Leh highway, which is one of the most scenic highways in India. The Hexa looks similar to the production that was shown during the expo.

The Hexa will fill up the space of Tata Aria and will look more premium. The exterior features black plastic cladding to add a rough and tough look to make the car more rugged. In the front, there are projector headlamps with LED DRLs that gives an identity to the car. Hexa also gets roof rails, chrome inserts on the body and dual exhaust tailpipes. There is also diamond cut alloy wheels that further elevates the characteristic looks of the car.

Tata will also offer Electronic Stability Program (ESP), ABS and 6 airbags in the safety department. The car measures 4.7 meters in length and offers a lot of space inside. It will come with a 6-seat or 7-seat option.

To make the car look more premium, Tata also offers premium features Harman touch-sensitive infotainment system, leather upholstery with dual stitching and lounge lighting.

Tata will put the 2.2-litre VARICOR under the hood to power the car. The engine produces 156.2 BHP and 400 Nm of torque. There will be a 6-speed manual transmission but Tata may also offer a 6-speed automatic. The car will come with AWD in the top-trim. The Hexa will be launched by next month in India.
