Automobile companies in India are busy launching Bharat Stage 4 (BS IV) versions of their popular models. The latest one is the Indica Vista DriveTech4 from Tata Motors.
Not much info is available about the car right now – but the company has begun advertising the Vista DriveTech4 in the print media. Television ads should follow soon. The company is about to launch its Indigo CS E-Series in India
The Tata Indica Vista DriveTech4 hatchback mates BS4 compliant Quadrajet diesel engine with a five speed Eurotech gearbox. That is for the diesel variant. In the petrol variant, the BS4 Safari engine is mated to the same Eurotech gearbox.
Tata Motors says that the Indica Vista DriveTech4’s quadrajet disel engine delivers higher torque and driveability.
We are not very clear Tata means when they the car has drive-by-wire tech – Tata has not officially released a press release about the Vista DriveTech4 yet, and we are trying to find more details from the company. The car is available in all the same trim levels as it was available earlier: Terra, Aqua, Aura, Aura ABS and Aura+
The Vista DriveTech4 also comes with ABS (anti lock braking system) and airbags as safety features.
Prices start at Rs 3.57 lakh for the petrol Safire DriveTech4 Vista, and Rs 4.41 lakh for the Quadrajet diesel. All prices are ex-showroom New Delhi.
