Tata Nexon Crossover
The Tata Nexon crossover concept is a distinct launch possibility in future considering Tata Motors’ absence in the compact SUV/crossover segment of the Indian car market. The Nexon crossover is based on the X1 platform, the same one that supports the likes of the Indica and the Indigo range of cars. Both petrol and turbo diesel engine options, along with manual and semi-automatic gearboxes, are likely to make it into the Nexon crossover.
Tata Safari Storme Ladakh Edition
The Safari Storme Ladakh Edition is a body kitted version of Tata Motors’ latest SUV. The Safari Storme retains the 2.2 liter DICOR (140 Bhp-320 Nm) turbo diesel engine and the 5 speed manual gearbox. A shift-on-the-fly 4X4 transfer case with a low ratio comes standard on the top end models. Here’s a list detailing what’s new in the Ladakh Edition of the Safari Storme:

Tata ConnectNext Concept
Tata has teamed up with consumer electronics major Samsung to come up with a next-generation infotainment system that will find its way into Tata cars of the future. The ConnectNext concept, put together in association with Samsung, is a showcase of where Tata Motors’ infotainment systems are headed. Here’s an overview of what the Tata ConnectNext concept packs in:
- iPod classic inspired click wheel driver /co driver centre arm control
- Heads-up display augmented navigation with driver warning and guidance display
- Transparent inner rear view screen for video streaming and inner rear view screen that converts into an augmented parking screen for reversing
- Back seat integrated screens and wireless headphones
- Cloud connnectivity
Tata Nano Twist Active
The Nano Twist Active concept brings together a 4 speed semi-automatic gearbox, known as the F-TRONIC in Tata speak, an open-able hatch lid and a 24 liter range maximizing fuel tank. The Nano Twist Active previews a future variant of the small car, one that will take comfort, convenience and practicality to a higher echelon. The engine is a 623 cc petrol unit with a twin cylinder layout outputting 36 Bhp and 51 Nm.
Tata Sumo Extreme
If every Tata Sumo can look as butch and good as the Sumo Extreme concept, Tata Motors could see a glut of order for this capable people mover. Built as a multi utility vehicle with people carrying being its prime motive, the Sumo Extreme concept gives an insight of how a MUV can be transformed into an SUV with a dose of good design to boot. The Sumo is available with a 3 liter CR4 turbo diesel engine that outputs 84 Bhp-250 Nm, which is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. The army-spec Sumo gets a 4 wheel drive system with low ratio. Here’s what the Sumo Extreme brings to the table in terms of changes:
