The design of the Punch EV closely resembles its ICE counterpart, with some differentiating features. The front grille is completely closed, featuring the Tata logo, which cleverly conceals the charging port of the EV. The LED bar at the front, a signature Tata design element, adds a welcoming feature. The headlamps, now LED units, are positioned on the bumper, and higher variants come with optional fog lamps with a cornering function.

The micro SUV maintains its side profile from the ICE version, showcasing 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the Punch.ev badge is visible on the tailgate. Interior features of the Punch EV include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a new UI, a frunk, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, multiple voice assistants, ventilated leatherette front seats, an inbuilt air purifier, an electric sunroof, multi-mode regen, a jeweled control knob for the LR version, a fully digital instrument cluster (top-end variant), a wireless phone charger, connected car features, and more.

The Punch EV will be available in two variants: Standard Range or Medium Range (MR) and a Long Range (LR) variant. The MR version is expected to offer a range of around 330 km, powered by a 25 kWh battery pack, while the LR version will feature a 35 kWh battery pack, delivering a range of approximately 460 km. Both variants support fast charging and will be offered with 3.3 kW wall box charger and 7.2 kW fast home charger options. Like the Harrier and Nexon, the Punch EV will be presented in 5 personas: Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+.
