The Nexon has reached a lot of dealerships across India. The vehicle comes with sporty exteriors featuring dual tone body colour. On the inside, the Nexon boasts of many first-in-class features like floating touch-sensitive infotainment system, umbrella holder and more. The Nexon will be Tata’s fourth product after Tata decided to shed its commercial vehicle image.

The Nexon comes powered by two new engines. The petrol engine is a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged unit that produces a maximum power of 108 Bhp and 170 Nm. The diesel engine is an all-new 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces a maximum power of 108 Bhp and 260 Nm. Both the engines are mated to 6-speed manual transmission. However, the AMT version has been caught testing and it may soon come to the market.

The Nexon also gets multi-drive modes. There is Eco, City and Sports mode that changes the engine power output and throttle sensitivity to make the vehicle change characteristics. The Nexon also offers first-in-segment wearable smart band type key. The Nexon will also become the first Tata product to offer Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in India. The floating type screen is also first in the segment and gives a very premium feel to the interior.

The Nexon is little late to the party, which is expanding quite quickly. The Nexon will take on the vehicles like Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Ford EcoSport directly in the market. Even the Ford EcoSport will be updated soon in India.
