All variants of the Nexon Diesel get a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. Tata Motors will soon introduce an AMT option on the diesel variant of the Nexon. Notably, the petrol-powered Nexon, which uses a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine with 108 Bhp and 170 Nm, also gets multi-drive modes as standard. The outputs of the different modes are likely to be similar to that of the diesel engine. Tata sells more than 4,000 units of the compact SUV each month. The Nexon’s great pricing and fresh styling are two main reasons why the sub-4 meter SUV is doing well for Tata Motors. Prices of the Nexon start from Rs. 5.99 lakhs, making it the lowest priced sub-4 meter compact SUV in India. The introduction of AMT equipped variants is expected to make the Nexon a stronger seller in the coming months.
