This year, homegrown car manufacturer Tata Motors has quite a some cars to offer for the Indian market. They first launched the Tata Altroz which was Tata’s first ever premium hatchback. Then they came up with facelifted Tata Tigor, Tiago hatchback and the updated Tata Nexon compact SUV. It is one of those cars currently in the Indian that offers a 5-star global NCAP safety rating. It competes with likes of Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Hyundai Venue in the segment. The facelifted Nexon has already gone on sale and is quite different from the one that was on sale before. Here we have a video that shows how the Tata Nexon facelift will look like with a wide body kit.
The video has been uploaded by SRK Designs that shows how the new Nexon would look like with a wide body kit. The changes made to the Nexon in the render video includes a flared wheel arch, bigger alloy wheels with low profile tyres. The alloy wheels look sporty and get a black paint job. There car also gets side skirts to match with the sportier look of the car.
Coming to the front, the gloss black grille at the front has been replaced with mesh. Tata logo has been removed and the rear portion of the bumper also gets mesh which replaces the tri-arrow inserts. The Nexon from the front looks wider because of the inserts on the lower portion of the front bumper.
The shape of the headlamp and fog lamp remain the same. The garnish around the fog lamp unit now gets a black finish. Overall, the white elements or the chrome inserts on the Nexon has been completely removed. The waist line gets a black tone so does the roof. All this small changes make the Nexon look more sportier and gives it a brute stance.
Tata had launched the Nexon facelift in the Indian market last week and it continues to get the 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.5 litre turbo diesel engine which are now BS6 compliant. Price for the petrol variant starts at Rs 6.95 lakh and Rs 8.45 lakh for the diesel variant. Both petrol and diesel Nexon are available with manual and AMT gearbox.
