The Alto K10 is an entry-level offering from Maruti Suzuki is one of the best selling cars in the market. The AMT version comes powered by the 1.0-litre K10 engine that produces a maximum power of 67 Bhp and a peak torque of 90 Nm.

Renault created ripples in the segment with the launch of the Kwid. The SUV-inspired design of the hatchback drew in a lot of customers initially. The Renault Kwid AMT is the second-best fuel efficient AMT automatic according to the ARAI ratings and is powered by a 1.0-litre engine. It generates a maximum of 67 Bhp of power and 91 Nm of peak torque. The regular variants are also available with a 0.8-litre engine.

The Tata Tiago is the best-selling Tata product in the market right now and has a huge customer base. The Tiago is offered with both diesel and petrol engine options but the AMT automatic is only offered with the petrol engine option. The Tiago also gets ECO mode, which increases the fuel efficiency of the hatchback. It is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Revotron engine that generates a maximum of 84 Bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque.

Maruti Celerio was the first car in the affordable segment to offer the AMT automatic transmission. The Celerio is a popular car in the segment and offers a lot of space in the rear when compared to the Alto. The all-new Maruti Suzuki Dzire became the fastest selling car in India recently. It is the most fuel efficient petrol AMT sedan in India and returns a maximum of 22.0 km/l. The Dzire petrol and powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine that produces a maximum of 82 Bhp and 113 Nm. Interestingly, Maruti also offers AMT automatic transmission with the diesel model of the car.
Maruti Suzuki Swift

Maruti launched the all-new Swift was launched in India market earlier this year and it became the top-selling model in the domestic market. The all-new Swift shares the platform with the Dzire and has lost a lot of weight when compared to the last generation model. The Swift is powered by the same 1.2-litre engine as the Dzire and produces a similar 82 Bhp – 113 Nm.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis

Maruti Suzuki WagonR

The Maruti Suzuki WagonR is one of the best-selling models for the brand since its launch. The tall-boy hatchback is popular for its roomy interiors. The WagonR will be updated sometime in the next year. The current version of the WagonR is offered with the AMT automatic transmission and is powered by the 1.0-litre K10 engine that produces a maximum of 67 Bhp – 90 Nm.

Tata Nexon became the first car in the segment to offer AMT with the petrol engine option. The Nexon is extremely popular in the market and is loved for its off-beat design and the long feature list. Tata Nexon offers AMT with both the petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine of the Nexon is a 1.2-litre turbocharged unit that produces a maximum of 108 Bhp and 150 Nm of peak torque. It gets a 6-speed AMT transmission.
