Tata Nexon is one of the popular sub-4 meter compact SUVs in India. It competes with cars like Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger in the segment. Tata Nexon was the first car in Indian market to score a 5 star rating at Global NCAP crash test. The SUV is known for its build quality and has become popular among buyers over the years. It also offers decent number of features like sunroof, touchscreen infotainment system and so on. Here we have a video where a video where a prospective customer takes the Tata Nexon with sunroof out for a test drive and shares his experience.
The video has been uploaded by Vlogger Rohit Madan on their YouTube channel. Vlogger and his friend make a call at Tata dealership and ask for a Tata Nexon test drive vehicle. The SUV reaches the spot and the vlogger along with his friend and the sales representative go for a test drive. Vlogger is looking for a vehicle in which he can commute to work, also go on weekend long drives with his family. It was his friend who initially drove the SUV. He has also driven many more SUVs from other brand and it was the first time, they were inside a Tata Nexon.

His friend was actually surprised with the way how the car was driving. It was the petrol version that is seen in the video. The manual version of the SUV felt very responsive and the drive modes, Eco, City and Sport mode also made things interesting. Vlogger was surprised to see how responsive the car was when you press the pedal. In terms of features, he was looking for an electric sunroof as it was one thing that his family had requested. The floating touchscreen infotainment system that comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity features also sounded good.
The vlogger even drove the SUV in all the modes and was happy with the performance. The car has decent space on the inside. 5 people can easily sit inside the car. The car seen here in the video comes with automatic climate control but, the vlogger was looking to buy the XMS variant. This is the most affordable SUV with a sunroof on offer in India. The owner then asked about the diesel version of the Tata Nexon as he was more interested in buying that. Although many manufacturers are dumping diesel engines, Tata still offers it and this engine options is available with a manual and AMT gearbox option.
The vlogger was impressed with the commanding driving position, handling, suspension set up. Along with that he also admired dashboard layout. It was offering a premium looking cabin experience, especially with the beige colour leatherette upholstery. As mentioned above, vlogger was looking for a diesel SUV. The XMS variant with diesel engine costs around Rs 10.60 lakh, ex-showroom. The XM+S is around Rs 11.15 lakh, ex-showroo. The same variant with a petrol engine is priced at Rs 9.30 lakh, ex-showroom (XMS) and Rs 9.85 lakh, ex-showroom (XM+S).
