Tata Nexon XZ+S with a Sunroof launched in India

Tata Nexon is one of the most popular sub-4 meter compact SUV in the segment. The Nexon competes with cars like Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport in the segment. It is one of the safest car in the segment with 5-star rating in Global NCAP. Tata Motors earlier this year launched the facelifted version of the Tata Nexon in the market with an updated BS6 compliant engine along with changes on the inside and outside. Tata has now launched a new trim XZ+S that sits right below the top end trim XZ+ (O) of the Nexon SUV.

The new trim XZ+S will get some of the features that are available in the top end trim. It sits between the XZ+ and XZ+(O). It gets features like a factory fitted electric sunroof that was only available in the XZ+(O) before. It has almost all the features except for connected car features of iRA as Tata Motors like to call it. Using this feature one could locate their vehicle, conduct vehicle diagnostics, geo-fencing and other features.

It also misses out on features like steering mounted controls, but gets features like rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), cruise control, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob. The price for the recently introduced XZ+S trim is Rs 10.10 lakh ex-showroom for petrol variant and Rs 11.60 lakh, ex-showroom for diesel variant.

Tata Nexon facelift has number of changes on the outside. It gets a new grille, sleeker headlamps, dual function LED DRLs, tri-arrow design on the air dam, new design for alloy wheels, a clear lens split LED tail lamps and so on. On the inside, the tri-arrow theme is followed on dashboard and seats.

Tata Nexo facelift continues to get its power from the 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine which now produces 10 Ps more power than before and a 1.5 litre turbo diesel engine. Both are available manual and AMT gearbox options.
