Tata Punch customers start getting delivery of the sub-compact SUV [Video]

After Tata rescheduled the launch of the all-new Punch from 20th October to 18th, the dealerships have started delivering the cars from today. Without mentioning any numbers, Tata announced that it has received the most number of bookings on any car to date for the Punch. Here is a video that shows Tata Punch customers taking the delivery of the car.

The video is from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The video posted by Pravesh Jaiswal shows the customer and the family taking the delivery of the micro SUV. The short video shows the white coloured Tata Punch parked on the dealership floor with ribbons. This is the Accomplished variant of the all-new Punch. Tata adopted a new name nomenclature with the Punch.

There are six colour options available with the Punch. Three mono shades – White, Grey and Stonehenge. The dual-tone colours include white and black, grey and black and blue and white. This is the white one which is likely to become the most common colour on the roads as it is with many other cars in India. The video also shows the family of the customer cutting the cake to celebrate the occasion as the dealership officials are standing in the background.

Deliveries of the all-new Tata Punch are likely to begin across the country soon. Tata announced the introductory prices of the Punch starting at Rs 5.49 lakh, ex-showroom. However, the current prices are applicable only till 31st December.

Just like all other manufacturers, Tata Motors is also facing a crunch in the raw materials in its production line. The current waiting period on the Punch is likely to increase over the next few weeks as more people show interest in the new car.

The all-new Punch gets a thick black grille that extends to become the LED DRL. The main headlamp clusters are located on the bumper of the car. The whole body gets a black cladding and even the front and rear bumpers are in black colour that adds a rugged look. On the sides, the Punch gets thick plastic cladding as well.

The all-new Punch gets a dashboard that looks similar to the Tata Altroz. It gets a dual-tone theme with black and white as primary colours. Other features like a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a flat-bottom steering wheel with multi-functional buttons, an automatic climate control system, a push-button engine start/stop, fabric upholstery and many other different features. The all-new Punch gets 90-degree opening doors as standard.

The all-new Tata Punch will come powered with only a petrol engine. There will be a 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 86 PS and a peak torque of 113 Nm. Tata will offer a manual and an AMT automatic as well. Tata has added features like Pro-Traction mode that allows the Punch to go through rough terrains and obstacles.
