Tata Punch is now available through CSD: Cheaper than Tiago

Despite it being a slightly pricier alternative over its competitors, the Tata Punch has been well-accepted by the Indian audience. The micro-SUV from Tata Motors entered the list of highest selling top ten passenger cars in India in its very first month of sale and is commanding a substantial waiting period for all of its variants. The CSD pricing for the Tata Punch begins at Rs 4.86 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it even cheaper than the base-spec Tata Tiago XE, which is priced at Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Punch is now available through CSD: Cheaper than Tiago

The Tata Punch is the latest launch from Tata Motors in the Indian market and is a micro-SUV positioned between the Tiago NRG and Nexon sub-compact SUV. The Punch is available only with a single powertrain option of a 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which it shares with other Tata offerings like the Tiago, Tigor and Altroz. Available with the options of both 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT, the engine makes a maximum power output of 86 PS and a peak torque output of 113 Nm.

The top-spec Creative trims of the Tata Punch are decently loaded with equipment like projector headlamps with daytime running LEDs, front fog lamps, 16-inch machined alloy wheels, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, reverse camera, push start-stop button, height-adjustable driver’s seat, 7-inch TFT screen in instrument console, automatic climate control and multi-functional steering wheel with cruise control.

The Tata Punch also created news when it scored a well-appreciated 5-star rating in the Global NCAP crash tests, with its scores making it the new safest car sold in the Indian car market. The micro-SUV comes standard with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and reverse parking sensors.
