Tata Punch modified into Rhino Edition [Video]

Tata Punch has become a huge hit in the Indian market. There was a huge craze around the micro-SUV even when it was showcased as the HBX Concept. As soon as the Punch was launched, many aftermarket shops came up with modifications. Here, we have a Tata Punch that has been modified.

The video is uploaded on YouTube by Vashu Singh. The host calls the micro-SUV, Punch Rhino Edition. The SUV is finished in white colour. There is a rhino mascot on the bonnet.
It is the Adventure variant which sits one above the base variant. The host has opted to get the LED Daytime Running Lamps from the Creative variant. The headlamps are also taken from the Creative variant. So, it now gets a projector setup. Moreover, the halogen bulbs are replaced with LED units. Then there are fog lamps that are LED projector units which are also fitted from after-market.

On the sides, there is a rhino badge on the front fender. The badge does look similar to the one found on the Kaziranga Edition. On the outside rearview mirrors, there are blind spot mirrors placed. The pillars, roof and the outside rearview mirrors are blacked out which means that the micro-SUV gets a dual-tone finish and a floating roofline effect. At the rear, the Punch badging has been removed and replaced with Rhino spelt out. The host says that he also will be removing the Tata badge and paint it black. He will also be replacing the tail lamps with the LED units that are found on the Creative variant. There are also roof rails and window visors installed.

The host also tells the prices of the accessories. The headlamps cost Rs. 9,500. The LED bulbs that are installed cost Rs. 6,000 and Rs. 2,200. The LED Daytime Running Lamps cost Rs. 13,500. The LED projector fog lamps are priced at Rs. 8,500. The Rhino mascot was custom made for around Rs. 1,000. The Rhino mascot on the sides cost Rs. 800. The blind spot mirrors cost Rs. 650. The casings of the outside rearview mirrors were of Rs. 1,000.

Then the host climbs into the interior. There is ambient lighting that costs Rs. 8,200. The colour of the ambient lighting can be changed using the mobile phone and it also responds to music. There are also 7D mats and seat covers. The host also plans to change the alloy wheels. He is also planning to change the roof liner to a black one. Till now, he has spent just under Rs. 80 lakhs on this Punch.

Tata Punch

The Punch is starts at Rs. 5.83 lakhs ex-showroom and it goes up to Rs. 9.49 lakhs ex-showroom. It is offered in four variants. It is Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative.

It is offered only with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. It produces 86 Ps of max power and 113 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT.
