Tata Motors recently launched the all-new Punch at a price of Rs 5.49 lakh, ex-showroom. Without revealing the data on the bookings, Tata did mention that they have received one of the highest bookings ever on the Punch. Tata has now released a new promotional video with the official anthem of the Punch.
The new Tata Punch TVC shows the vehicle on different terrains and in different parts of the country. The all-new Tata Punch is the most capable vehicle in the segment. The Punch takes on the Maruti Suzuki Ignis and the Mahindra KUV100 NXT according to the positioning of the vehicle as a sub-compact micro SUV in the market.
The all-new Tata Punch is aimed at the youngsters primarily who want to own an SUV but do not want to spend much of the vehicle or don’t have a big budget. The Tata Punch is designed to look as much like an SUV as possible. It gets a muscular look with body cladding all around. The front-end design inspired by the Harrier and the Safari definitely makes it look imposing on the roads.

It is also the biggest car in its segment. However, the height of the Tata Punch is slightly shorter than the KUV100. Overall, the Punch stands out on the roads.
Tata Punch is the safest car in India
The Tata Punch is based on the ALFA-Arc platform that underpins the Altroz in the Indian market. Just like the Tata Altroz, the Tata Punch has a five-star crash safety rating from Global NCAP. The Tata Punch has scored 16.45 out of 17 in the adult safety rating. For child safety, the Punch scored 40.89 out of 49.
In comparison, the Tata Altroz managed 16.13 & 17 in the adult safety rating and 29 & 49 in the child safety rating. The Mahindra XUV300 managed 16.42 & 17 and 37.44 &49, while the Tata Nexon bagged 16.06 & 17 and 25 & 49 points in adult and child safety ratings respectively.
The all-new Punch gets a dashboard that looks similar to the Tata Altroz. It gets a dual-tone theme with black and white as primary colours. Other features like a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a flat-bottom steering wheel with multi-functional buttons, an automatic climate control system, a push-button engine start/stop, fabric upholstery and many other different features. The all-new Punch gets 90-degree opening doors as standard.
The all-new Tata Punch will come powered with only a petrol engine. There will be a 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 86 PS and a peak torque of 113 Nm. Tata will offer a manual and an AMT automatic as well. Tata has added features like Pro-Traction mode that allows the Punch to go through rough terrains and obstacles.
