The Tata Tiago NRG (pronounced Energy) is a crossover version of the regular model. It gets body cladding on doors, wheel arches, tailgate and bumpers. Along with that, it rides on newly designed 14-inch faux alloy wheels and gets faux skid plates at the rear. Tata has also increased the ride height to 180 mm to justify the urban offroader tag. The engine and transmission options remain the same as rest of the range. The Tiago NRG starts at Rs. 5.5 lakh, ex showroom, and is the perfect car if you want something that won’t bow down to speed breakers and potholes.
For the enthusiasts out there – Tiago JTP
Tata has recently revealed the Tiago JTP variants and they offer stellar performance in a budget amount. This one is best suited for those who crave for a fun to drive car which they can bash on regular days, anywhere and anytime. It gets powered by a 1.2 litre petrol engine which churns out a healthy 112 Bhp of power along with 150 Nm of Torque. The engine is mated to a performance optimised 5 speed manual gearbox. The Tiago NRG is priced at Rs. 6.39 lakh, ex showroom, Delhi, which is a steal considering the nearest competition is about Rs. 2 lakh expensive.
