Tata Tiago has been around for a while in the Indian market now. Tata added a new top-end variant of the Tiago in the form of XZ+ and it gets a range of features. The new car also gets a new TVC from the manufacturer where all the new features of the car get highlighted. Here is the new TVC.
The new Television Commercial shows how the Tata Tiago is targetted at the young generation and how fun it is to drive around the city. The new variant of the Tiago gets a range of new features including a new dual-tone roof, smoked projector headlamps, 7-inch infotainment system with Android Auto connectivity, 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, automatic climate control system and electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs.
The Tata Tiago XZ+ is priced at Rs. 5.57 lakhs for the petrol, single-tone colour version while the dual-tone version is priced at Rs. 5.64 lakhs. It is also available with the diesel engine version, which is priced at Rs 6.31 lakhs for the monotone and Rs. 6.38 lakhs for the dual-tone version. All the prices mentioned above are ex-showroom Delhi. Tata has also introduced two colours with the new variants – Canyon Orange and Ocean Blue. They are the same colours that have been used in the new TVC.
The Tata Tiago quite a value for money product and is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol motor is a 1.2-litre 3-Cylinder unit that generates a maximum power of 84 Bhp and a peak torque fo 115 Nm. the diesel unit is a 3-cylinder, 1.1-litre unit that churns out a maximum power of 69 Bhp and a peak torque of 140 Nm. Both the petrol and diesel engine options get the 5-speed manual transmission as standard. There is an AMT automatic transmission available with the variants of the Tiago but the newly launched XZ+ variant does not get any such option. Tata may add it at a later date.
Tata Tiago takes on the likes of newly launched Hyundai Santro and has gained massive popularity in the Indian market. Tata even launched a high-performance JTP version of the Tiago earlier this year, which comes with a more powerful petrol engine. The Tiago JTP is the most affordable hot hatchback you can buy in the market and it is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the Nexon.
However, it develops more power than the Nexon’s unit. The Tiago JTP produces a maximum of 114 Bhp of power and 150 Nm of torque. It gets the 5-speed manual transmission but the gear ratios have been altered to give it a very sporty feel. Tata has also updated the suspension and has given it a body kit. Tata will also launch an electric version of the Tiago in the Indian market soon.
