Tata Tiago, Tigor, Nexon & Hexa: Watch Diwali special TVCs [Video]

Tata Motors has just put out four new web commercials celebrating Diwali. The Tata Tiago, Tigor, Nexon and Hexa get a Diwali special web commercial each. We’ve lined up all four for you. Check them out below.

The Tiago is Tata Motors’ best selling car. The hatchback averages about 8,000 units each month, and has gone from strength to strength in terms of sales. Tata sells an astounding 27 variants of the Tiago hatchback, which is sold  with multiple engine options.

The entry level Tiago gets 1.2 liter petrol and 1.1 liter turbocharged diesel engine options with 84 Bhp-115 Nm and  69 Bhp-140 Nm outputs respectively. Tata Motors has just introduced a hot hatch variant of the Tiago under the JTP  badge with a 1.2 liter turbocharged petrol engine that makes 114 Bhp-150 Nm.

The Tiago Petrol gets 5 speed manual and AMT opitons while the diesel model makes do with a 5 speed manual gearbox as standard. The JTP variant also gets a 5 speed manual gearbox but with revised gear ratios. The Tata Tigor compact SUV shares its mechanicals with the Tiago, and is also available in JTP trim. While the Tiago’s prices start from Rs. 3.51 lakhs, those of the Tigor start from Rs. 5.31 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi.

The Nexon is India’s second best selling sub-4 meter compact SUV, and like the Tiago, the Nexon has been slowly  inching its way up the sales charts. The Tata Nexon competes with the likes of the Maruti Brezza and the Ford EcoSport. It’s the only sub-4 meter compact SUV in India that offers automatic gearbox options on both the petrol and diesel variants.

The Nexon gets two engine options – a 1.2 liter turbocharged petrol with 108 Bhp-170 Nm, and a 1.5 liter turbocharged diesel with 108 Bhp-260 Nm. Both engines get 5 speed manual gearboxes as standard. Tata Motors is working on a high- performance JTP variant of the Nexon. Prices of the Tata Nexon start from Rs. 6.37 lakhs.

The Tata Hexa is the automaker’s flagship vehicle. The Hexa is a large, 7 seat crossover that’s sold with rear wheel  drive and four wheel drive layouts. The Hexa uses a 2.2 liter turbocharged diesel engine in two states of tune: 148  Bhp-320 Nm and 154 Bhp-400 Nm. The engine in the lower state of tune gets a 5 speed manual gearbox while the higher state of tune gets 6 speed manual and torque converter automatic gearbox options. Prices of the Hexa start from Rs. 12.58 lakhs, and the crossover competes with the Mahindra XUV500 and Toyota Innova Crysta.
