The Tiago has been a successful product for Tata Motors. While initial sales were slow, it has now started doing well. The company even sold over 7,000 units of the car last month, making it the highest ever for the Tiago. Tata is now working on a new special edition model of the Tiago, called the Wizz and here is all you need to know about it.
What’s it about?
The Wizz will be introduced to celebrate the success of the Tiago and will be introduced to make the vehicle more aspirational to others. It will come with the following additions on the outside.
It will get a new design element on the grille, which will be finished in red to add a touch of sportiness. It will get contrast black roof, black B-pillar, black spoiler and black exterior mirror caps, making it look more sporty. In addition to that, it will get funky wheel covers finished in dual tone with a red highlight, making it look like alloys. It will also get roof rails. At the back, it will get the Wizz logo.
On the inside, there will be new fabric seats and dual tone upholstery with red accents.
The vehicle will be only offered on the manual Tiago and will be limited to 1500 units only. It can be had in either the Berry red or the Pearlescent white exterior colour option.
The car can be had with either a petrol or diesel engine option. The petrol is the 1.2 liter 3-cylinder unit making 84 Bhp and 114 Nm while the diesel is a 1.05 liter unit making 69 Bhp and 140 Nm. Like mentioned above, the special edition can only be had with the manual transmission and not the newly launched AMT. The car is equipped with driving modes (Eco, City), has the Harman infotainment system with bluetooth, rear parking sensors with display and navigation and juke box application.
