Tata Tigor EV in a detailed walkaround video

Tata Motors is one of India’s leading car manufacturer and they have a variety of products in their line up. Other than petrol and diesel engine cars, Tata also offers electric vehicles in the market. Tata Nexon EV is currently the best selling electric SUV in the country. Tata Motors is now lining up for the launch of their next electric vehicle Tigor EV in the passenger car segment. The vehicle has already started arriving at the dealerships. Tata has also started accepting bookings for the Tigor EV. Here we have a walkaround video that shows what all does the new Tigor EV offer.

The video has been uploaded by Missautologs on their YouTube channel. The video starts with the vlogger talking about the overall look of the car from outside. Tata used to manufacture Tigor EV but, it was not available for customers in the market. In comparison to the version that was being offered to government offices, the upcoming Tigor EV is powered by Ziptron technology, which is also seen in Nexon EV.

Vlogger starts by showing the exterior. The car gets a no cosmetic changes on the outside. Instead of white, Tigor EV now comes in different colours. The one seen here in the video gets a Teal Blue shade with electrci blue accents at places like front grille. These blue accents differentiate it from the regular Tigor sedan. Tata continues to offer projector style headlamps, LED DRLs, fog lamps, gloss black front grille with tri-arrow design.

The side profile gets dual tone alloy wheels and the sloping notchback design on the roof is also visible from this angle. The boot offer decent amount of space with a spare wheel placed in it. Clear lens tail lamps, Tigor EV and Ziptron badging is also seen on the boot of the car. Moving inside, the Tigor EV gets a black and beige dual tone cabin. The dashboard and other panels inside the car are mostly plastic. It gets a multi-function steering, touchscreen infotainment system from Harman, fabric seats with tri-arrow design on it and so on.

Just like Nexon EV, a rotary dial is placed on the center console using which the car can be sloted to Drive, Park and reverse mode. Unlike Nexon EV, Tigor will not be getting drive modes. Tata Tigor EV generates 75 Ps and 170 Nm of peak torque. It can do 0-60 kmph in 5.7 seconds.  While writing this article, Tata has not officially revealed the price and the certified driving range of the Tigor EV.

Tata will be positioning it below Nexon EV and the expected price is somewhere between Rs 8 lakh to Rs 12 lakh. Tata has also not said anything about the range however in this video, we can see that the fully digital instrument cluster of the Tigor EV shows a range of 101 kms with 44 percent charge left in the batteries. This means, Tata Tigor EV is expected to have a driving range of almost 240-250 kms on a single charge.
