Tata unveiled their all-new compact sedan, the Tigor earlier this year. It became the cheapest compact sedan to go on sale in the country. The company has now added yet another model to its Tigor range, the XM. This new variant is a new mid level variant that will sit in between the base XE and the higher XT trim.
It will be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options, which means it will be powered by the same 1.2 liter 3-cylinder petrol engine making 84 Bhp and 115 Nm while the diesel is a 1.05 liter 3-cylinder engine making 69 Bhp and 140 Nm. Currently, the Tigor is only offered with a 5-speed manual transmission and the company will soon introduce the an AMT as well.
The petrol XM is priced at Rs 4.99 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi and will be loaded with 9 new features in addition to what is offered on the XE trim.
The TIGOR XM comes loaded with exciting features like a class leading infotainment system, manual central locking with key, power windows for front and rear, speed dependent auto door locks, follow me home lamps, LED fuel gauge, full fabric seat upholstery, interior lamps with theatre dimming and full wheel covers.
Tata Motors continues to set new benchmarks in the competitive sedan segment. Introduction of this variant will further strengthen the sedan portfolio and will provide customers with a feature-rich car at an exciting price point. The TIGOR XM will be available in petrol and diesel fuel types with manual transmission. The new variant will be available across all Tata Motors authorised dealerships, starting September 15, 2017, in a phased manner.
