Tata Zest Sportz edition launched in India

Celebrating the sale of over 50,000 Tata Zest in India, Tata has launched a new Sportz Edition of the car to celebrate the occasion. The dealer-level accessory package includes a lot of visual changes to the car. With the Sportz Edition, Zest now gets red colored side and front skirts and ORVMs, body graphics, blacked-out roof, door mouldings, bumper protectors, door visors and a lot of chrome on the body. On the inside, the Zest Sportz edition also gets new seat covers.

The limited edition package across all the variants of the Tata Zest and will cost Rs. 20,000 over the cost of the car. Tata initially also offered alloy wheels as standard across all the variants but now only top variant gets the alloy wheels.

The Zest was launched under the Horizonext drive of Tata that is trying to do a makeover for the Tata brand in India. The car is available with a choice of diesel and petrol engines. The 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron petrol engine generates a maximum of 88.7 Bhp of maximum and 140 Nm of maximum torque. The diesel engine is available with either with 74 Bhp or 88.7 Bhp tunes. Tata also offers AMT with the higher powered diesel engine while the other engines are available with a 5-speed manual option.
