Here is a story of A Afzal who seized the opportunity to earn money and is currently the owner of one of the most expensive bus and car fleets in India. The story starts with Allah Baksh, who is the father of Afzal and entered the taxi business in 1967 with two taxis. In 1980, Afzal took the business to the next level by forming Parveen Travels. Afzal, who grew up with five siblings helped his father when he was only 15 years old by delivering invoices and collecting payments from customers.

Currently, Parveen Travels is worth more than Rs 400 crore business and it started with a single taxi tourist operator according to The Weekend Leader. The operator currently owns around 1,300 vehicles in total and employs over 4,000 people. There is a range of cars and luxury busses offered by the operator in the southern part of the country. The first inter-city bus service started in 1981 and Afzal used to travel on the bus by himself to understand the customer requirements and expectations. Last year, Parveen Travels inducted a brand-new Rolls Royce Ghost in their fleet and became one of the first operators in the region to offer the luxury vehicle on rent. The lowest price is Rs 25,000 for which the car is available for 2 hours and 20 km. Any extra km is charged Rs 750 extra per km while every extra hour can cost Rs 7,500. Customers who require the vehicle for a long time can also go for higher range plan, which is 8 hours for 80 km and charge for that is Rs 80,000. There are several plans in between that can be chosen by the customers depending on the need.

The operator also offers vehicles like Mercedes-Benz E-Class, a Ford Endeavour-based Limousine, Mercedes-Benz S-Class among the luxury offerings. Other cars in the fleet including almost every other car like Etios, Innova, SX4 and more. Also, customers can also choose from various bus services and hire a full bus too.
