One of India’s leading digital financial services platform, MobiKwik, and leading ride-sharing company, Ola, have jointly announced a partnership. Now, MobiKwik users will be able to book Ola cabs through the MobiKwik app.
The move will help MobiKwik put up a stronger fight against the market-leader Paytm. MobiKwik hopes to increase its influence in the market using this feature.
This service will be offered in 110 cities and will let users book any kind of ride that they want. Ola offers budget rides, such as Ola Auto, Ola Micro and Ola Mini, and premium rides like Ola Prime, Ola Prime Play, Ola Prime SUV and Ola Lux.
Users will also have the option to pay on the rides, using the MobiKwik wallet, without the hassle of paying in cash or adding money to the Ola Wallet. This partnership aims to change the current scenario of e-wallets and individual ride booking apps for a hassle-free experience and not having to change apps again and again.
MobiKwik is also offering big discounts in terms of Supercash, which can later be used for future shopping or ride bookings. Moreover, MobiKwik will provide Rs. 50 Supercash to a user on the first five rides. MobiKwik will also offer 10 % Supercash on every ride with discounts up to Rs 100 for users. As a standalone deal, MobiKwik will offer a chance to win 100 % cashback for booking rides on their app, to 1,000 users daily, though this discount will have time constraints and many terms and conditions.
Ola also has a wallet service called Ola Money, which allows users to pay for their rides as well as other common bills, such as electricity bills, movie tickets, food, flights, e-commerce, etc.
The new feature to book cabs in the MobiKwik app is reportedly already live in some parts of Asia, Europe, Africa, North America and the Middle East.
