Now owned by BBK International, Nokia has released its newest edition in Android smartphones, the Nokia 6.1, also known as Nokia 6 (2018).
This new entry in the series is the upgraded version of Nokia 6, which originally came with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage at a reasonable price of Rs 16,999. The price of the Nokia 6.1 is Rs 18,999.
The Nokia 6.1 belongs to the mid-range segment of the smartphone market and targets consumers of all age groups. HMD Global is trying to entice users with the enhanced look of the phone and added features.
The Nokia 6.1 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD+IPS LCD display for superior display quality and a resolution of 1080 X 1920 pixels. The phone also comes with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Screen Protection.
The phone is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC clocked at 2.2 GHz coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage. Its storage capacity can extend up to 128 GB with Micro SD card. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.
The Nokia 6.1 has a sleek design but with a single camera on the back with 16 MP sensor of Zeiss optics. The phone also has dual LED flash. Talking about the front shutter, the phone sports an 8 MP sensor with fixed focus.
The phone comes with an USB Type C port for faster charging and data transfer. It has a 3000 mAh battery which is pretty normal for any smartphone of this range.
The Nokia 6.1 or Nokia 6 (2018) lacks a notch and bezel-less design unlike most upcoming phones. The fingerprint sensor is set on the back of the phone below the camera setup.
The phone also supports Hybrid Dual SIM capabilities with VoLTE, 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi and NFC technology. Nokia 6.1 also features a 3.5-mm jack with higher quality for serious audiophiles.
The phone has been launched in India, and is available on Amazon at a price of Rs 18,999. Moreover, the phone will also be available on offline stores throughout the country over a specific period of time.
