Actor Nagarjuna and wife Amala buy a Kia EV6 electric crossover, take delivery at their residence

The renowned Telugu actor, Nagarjuna, has always remained at the top of the headlines for his acting. However, recently he made headlines for a different reason. This time, the iconic actor grabbed attention as he recently took delivery of one of the best electric vehicles in the country, the brand new Kia EV6. The news of the actor taking delivery of the new Kia EV6 was shared on Facebook by the dealership, along with a picture of him receiving the car at his residence.

A picture of actor Nagarjuna, along with his wife Amala Akkineni, taking delivery of their new Kia EV6 was shared on Facebook by CAR Kia 36 Jubilee Hills & Gachibowli on their page. The picture’s caption stated, “A warm congratulations to Nagarjuna Garu and Amala Garu on their new Kia EV6! You’ve made a smart and sustainable choice for the future of mobility.” In the picture, the actor and his wife can be seen receiving their brand-new car finished in a classy shade of white.

For those unaware, the Kia EV6 is the flagship all-electric crossover offered by the South Korean automotive giant Kia in India. The company introduced the all-new EV6 as its first and only electric car in India, importing it as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). Kia initially planned to sell about 100 units in India; however, they received an overwhelming response with over 355 bookings on the day of its launch.

The Kia EV6 boasts a captivating design that seamlessly combines elegance with futuristic aesthetics. Its sleek and aerodynamic silhouette commands attention on the road. The front fascia features a distinctive tiger-nose grille, complemented by slim LED headlights. The sculpted bodylines flow smoothly towards the rear, accentuating the car’s dynamic profile. The EV6’s frameless windows and flush door handles contribute to its streamlined look. At the rear, a bold full-width LED light bar spans across the width of the car, enhancing its modern appeal.

The interior of the Kia EV6 is just as luxurious as its exterior. It features a sleek all-black design with black suede seats and vegan leather accents. The car comes with various premium features, such as 64-color ambient lighting, an electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, a vegan leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an anti-glare rearview mirror. Other notable features include a tilt and telescopic steering wheel and sporty alloy pedals, as well as dual-zone climate control.

Additionally, the Kia EV6 comes equipped with a wireless charger, multiple drive modes, a smart key, push-button start/stop, and a 10-way adjustable driver seat with a memory function. It also offers paddle shifters for regenerative braking, connected car capabilities, an electronic parking brake with an auto-hold function, LED headlamps with an adaptive driving beam, dual 12.3-inch curved screens, Shift by wire, and rain-sensing wipers.

With a single 77.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, Kia’s new EV6 has a maximum driving range of 528 kilometers (km) according to the WLTP cycle. The battery is capable of ultra-fast charging, which can extend the range by 100 kilometers in just 4.5 minutes. Using a 350 kW fast charger, the Kia EV6 battery can be fully charged from 10% to 80% in roughly 18 minutes, while a 50 kW charger takes around 73 minutes. The RWD single motor unit produces 350 Nm and 225 Bhp. According to Kia, it takes just 3.5 seconds for the EV6 to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph. The Kia EV6 has an ex-showroom starting price of Rs 60.95 lakh.

Other notable owners of the Kia EV6 in India include the former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who took delivery of his Kia EV6 in a shade of satin silver. The ace wicketkeeper and batsman was seen driving his EV6 with his IPL team CSK teammates Ruturaj Gaikwad and Kedar Jadhav. Additionally, another popular actor from Southern India, the renowned Malayalam movie actor Mohanlal, also took delivery of a brand-new Kia EV6. The actor was gifted his Kia EV6 by his close friend, Alex K Babu, the Managing Director of Hedge Equities. The video of him receiving the car was shared on the internet.
