Triumph has just launched the all-new range of Bonneville retro motorcycles in India. The bikes were developed from scratch for about 5 years. The new range of Bonnevilles feature 2 engine options, both of them liquid cooled and with twin, parallel cylinder layouts. While one engine displaces 900cc and puts out about 80 Nm of peak torque, the 1200cc motor puts out 105 Nm.
The Street Twin is the entry-level variant of the new Bonneville range, and is priced at 6.9 lakh rupees, ex-showroom Delhi, while the 1200cc T120 model sits at the top of the range at 8.7 lakh rupees. Disc brakes on both wheels, ABS, ride by wire, slipper clutch and multiple ride modes are common to all bikes in the new Bonneville range. The price of the top-of-the-line Thruxton R cafe racer version will be revealed tomorrow.
The new Bonneville, like the outgoing version, will be CKD assembled at Triumph’s Manesar facility. Deliveries are slated to begin from March and dealers have already started accepting bookings for the bikes.
