Snapshot – Just like there are cars, and then supecars, there are the rich and then, the super rich. When the super rich meet supercars, the combination is potent, enough to stir up emotions of the man on the street. Today, we bring to you the story of 10 supercars, all owned by a bunch of India’s rich and famous personalities.
Yuvraj Singh’s Lamborghini Murcielago LP640
If the Gallardo is Lamborghini’s best selling supercar ever, the Murcielago is the wilder side of the already wild supercar brand from Italy. And one of Indian cricket’s original bad boys, Yuvraj Singh, owns one.
The Murcielago LP640 makes more power than the Gallardo. The car succeeded the Diablo and remained Lamborghini’s flagship model for 10 years, between 2001 and 2010.
Ranbir Kapoor’s Audi R8
Ranbir Kapoor is known as one of the thinking actors in Bollywood, who’s not averse to taking on unconventional roles. The man’s character seems to come through as far as his set of wheels is concerned.
How else do you explain the Audi R8 gracing Ranbir’s garage. The R8 is known as the thinking man’s supercar, and it’s only fitting that Ranbir Kapoor drives one.

Virat Kohli’s Audi R8 LMX
Recently, Virat Kohli bought himself an Audi R8 LMX, a special edition of the outgoing R8 supercar. Indian cricket’s angry young man and star batsman also owns another Audi R8 supercar.
The LMX edition of the R8 is the fastest ever in the current range, and that gets laser headlamps. Meanwhile, Audi is readying up the second generation R8, which will make its debut later this year.
Gautam Singhania’s Lamborghini Aventador
Apparel maker Raymond’s boss man drives about in a Lamborghini Aventador. An avid car nut, Gautam Singhania also has exotic driving machines such as the Ariel Atom and the Caterham 7 in his garage.
So, the Aventador is meant to stick out as the flagship supercar in the industrialist’s collection. The Aventador is the most powerful supercar in Lamborghini’s range, and the supercar maker’s flagship offering too.
Imran Khan’s Ferrari California
The California is one of the more sensible Ferraris for Indian conditions, what with its 150mm ground clearance, which is stratospheric by supercar standards.
Bollywood actor Imran Khan, known for its boyish good looks, owns one of these. The California is a convertible and in rosso red colour, and the Ferrari badge on the bonnet, the supercar is a sure fire head turner on Indian roads.
Sachin Tendulkar’s Nissan GT-R
Sachin Tendulkar is well known for his impressive set of wheels. A couple of years ago, the cricketing great sold his Ferrari 360 Modena to land up with the Nissan GT-R, a Japanese supercar that gives the Europeans a taste of what the Orient can come up with.
The Nissan GT-R, a.k.a the Gozilla, is a supercar that only a rarified set of car enthusiasts buy.

Anil Ambani’s Lamborghini Gallardo
Low slung supercars have their share of idiosynrasies and Lamborghinis are the more notorious among this bunch.
Getting into the driver’s seat of the Lamborghini Gallardo does entail some contortions, and the marathon running multi-billionaire Anil Ambani is fit enough forsuch antics. The man owns a Lamborghini Gallardo, one of the highest selling supercars of the Italian marque.
Vijay Mallya’s Chevrolet Corvette
Vijay Mallya has a garage full of classic cars, so much so that his cars now form a part of his private museum. Among the racier set of wheels the liquor baron owns, the Chevrolet Corvette stands out as an example of all-american muscle.
The Corvette is an American supercar that originally began life as a muscle car for the masses. The Corvette that Vijay Mallya owns is a true classic, a version from 1957.
