Hyundai Grand i10 in India is known as simply i10 in the international markets. The facelift of the car will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October but before that the company has officially revealed the car through pictures.
This is the European spec car but the Indian market will see a similar update next year. Even though most of the features would not be carried on the Indian model.
The new car has received a new grille up front with an interesting design and round LED daytime running lamps, a feature that would not make to the Indian model. The fog lamp enclosures are now updated and look sleeker that before.
With the facelift, Hyundai retains the shape of the car exactly as the current model. There are new 14-inch alloy wheels. The rear end receives an all-new bumper with black inserts and circular fog lamps. The side mouldings have been updated but it does not make the car look any different from the current version.
On the inside, the new i10 will come with updated trim colors and new material. In the international model, there will be a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, front collision warning and lane departure warning. Even though Hyundai packs a lot of equipment in the Indian models, the safety features are not expected to be in the Indian model.
The car will be powered by a 1.0-litre and 1.25-litre petrol engines in the European markets but the India will get the same engines that power the current Grand i10. It will be powered by 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 82 Bhp of maximum power and 1.1-litre diesel engine that produces 70 Bhp of maximum power. Both the cars come with 5-speed manual transmission but the petrol also comes with an optional 4-speed automatic transmission.
