The Suzuki Hayabusa is the most recognizable, even the most revered, superbike on sale in India. Made really famous by Bollywood movie ‘Dhoom’, the ‘busa even made it to the garages of some of our celebrities. Now, thanks to the magic of depreciation, you can buy yourself a sparingly used Suzuki Hayabusa for the price of a new Maruti WagonR.

To find out the most affordable used Suzuki Hayabusa superbikes on sale in the country, we spent a lot of time scanning the used bike classifieds on leading used bike portals and even calling up some bike dealers we know. Finally, we managed to come across these three motorcycles. All of them are MY 2006 models and are priced at around Rs 5 lakh.

2006 Suzuki Hayabusa – Rs 4,75,000

Here is a 2006 Suzuki Hayabusa from Jalandhar that is on sale for Rs 4,75,000. This ‘busa has an all-black paint shade and carries several aftermarket bits. It has stage 3 disc pads, a K&N air filter, and a 4 into 1 SC project performance exhaust system. It also has a Puig racing screen, a tank pad, a custom seat cover and a back seat cowl. Seen above is another 2006 Suzuki Hayabusa that is on sale. Asking price for this motorcycle is Rs 5,00,000. This Hayabusa is located in Kochi, Kerala. As you can see in the image above, this Hayabusa has a dual-tone black-red paint shade. As per the advertisement, this Hayabusa has run only about 20,000 kms. 2006 Suzuki Hayabusa – Rs 5,10,000

The Suzuki Hayabusa is powered by a 1.3-litre, four-cylinder engine that outputs 175 hp of maximum power and a peak torque of 138 Nm. The motorcycle can sprint from standstill to 100 kmph in just 3.0 seconds and has a top speed of 306 kmph. So, basically, you can own a true-blue superbike for the price of an ordinary hatchback like a Maruti Suzuki WagonR. However, owning a thoroughbred superbike like the Hayabusa has its own share of issues. For starters, only a really skilled rider can handle a motorcycle that’s as powerful as the Hayabusa. Also, maintaining the ‘busa isn’t particularly easy. Spares are expensive and you’ll be spending a lot more to maintain this superbike than what you would on an affordable hatchback. Hence, be really sure before you decide to spend on a used Suzuki Hayabusa.
