India’s custom car scene is growing by the day and there are many cars out there on the roads that really catch your eye. One such example from youtube is this modified Hyundai Creta that has been customised so that it mimics the look of Land Rover’s flagship Range Rover SUV. The Hyundai Creta which is registered with the Pattambi RTO in Kerala gets a few custom pieces added on that transform its front-end into something similar to the one found on a Range Rover.
These custom pieces include the new chromed-out grille with the circular Land Rover logo and the words Range Rover above the grille. These pieces for the grille and the Range Rover nameplate are done up in chrome and transform the Creta’s front-end drastically. Other changes on this Creta that wants to be a Range rover include new headlights with angel eye LED daytime running lights and brand new LED fog lamps. The modified Creta Range Rover also sports faux air intakes, custom blacked-out alloy wheels shod with low-profile tyres, smoked tail lamps and Range Rover badges at the rear.
The changes on this modified Hyundai Creta are limited to cosmetic tweaks and the Creta seems to be fitted with the stock engine and transmission, though there are no details regarding the same. The stock Hyundai Creta is powered by either a 1.6-litre petrol engine or a 1.4-litre diesel engine.
The petrol engine for the Creta pumps out 122 Bhp at 5,4000rpm and 154 Nm of torque @ 4,850rpm. The engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. The 1.4 litre diesel Creta, on the other hand, produces 89 Bhp at 4,000 rpm and 224 Nm of torque at 1,500rpm. The 1.6 litre diesel makes 126 Bhp-260 Nm. The smaller diesel engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the bigger one gets both 6 speed manual and automatic options.
The Hyundai Creta is the best-selling SUV in its segment and is only behind the Maruti Brezza in terms of sales. Its boxy SUV shape and the ample amount of room on the inside along with the extensive amount of features make this a must-have SUV for the Indian buyer looking for a new SUV in the premium SUV segment of India.
