This modified Mahindra Bolero Invader looks butch

Mahindra is one of India’s largest utility vehicle manufacturer. They have a variety of models in their portfolio and are also working on some new interesting products too. One of the model that was present in Mahindra’s line-up was the Bolero Invader. It was a three-door SUV that was based on the Bolero. It was a good looking SUV but, due to various reasons, it failed to impress customers and had to be discontinued from the market. As mentioned above, Mahindra Invader was a three-door SUV with soft top at the rear. It was used by police force in some states but, now it is rarely spotted on the road. There are still some well maintained and extremely modified examples of Mahindra Invader in the country and here we have a video that shows a Mahindra Bolero Invader that has been extremely modified.

The video has been uploaded by Weekend On Wheels #Wow on their YouTube channel. The videos shows all the modifications that have been done to this SUV to give it a butch look. The owner of this SUV had made several changes and the vlogger takes us through it. Starting with the exterior, the stock bumpers on Invader has been removed and replaced with an off-road bumper. The bumper looks sturdy and has aftermarket turn indicators and LED DRLs installed on it. The LED fog lamps is also installed on the lower part of the bumper.

One of the thing that gives this Invader a unique look is its yellow paint job. The combination of black and yellow looks extremely good on this SUV. On the bonnet there is a hood scoop and  right in front of the grille couple of auxiliary lamps have also been installed. The chrome around the headlamps and the grille have all been blacked out to give it a rugged look. Moving to the side profile, you would notice the custom made black colour  fender flares.

The other noticeable change here is the height of the vehicle. It now sits on 35 inch Maxxis Bighorn tyres and blacked out rims. Other than these huge tyres, it also gets suspension setup from Iron man and an 8-9 inch lift kit. The combination of all this has resulted in increasing the ground clearance and giving it a dominating stance. The snorkel and the roof mounted LED bar is also seen in the video. As Invader is a soft top SUV, the owner has installed a proper exoskeleton all around the SUV. The rear gets aftermarket LED tail lamps and a tailgate mounted spare wheel. One of the handy feature in this Invader is the foot step. It is a powered unit that comes out when the door is opened and closes when the door is closed.

On the inside, the owner has installed an aftermarket touchscreen infotainment system, roof mounted AC vents, speakers and sub-woofers and so on. The basic layout of the cabin remains the same as stock. The side facing seat at the rear has been replaced with front facing units. The major change on this Invader however is the engine. The stock engine has been replaced with Mahindra Scorpio Di Turbo engine. It has 4×4 option and the work done on the SUV looks pretty neat.
