This tastefully modified Thar looks ready for off-roading

Mahindra Thar is currently one of the most popular 4×4 SUVs in the market. There are several modification options available for the SUV and many of them have been featured on our website as well. Thar is a very capable off-roader and the main reason why it became a popular choice among buyers is the price. It is currently the most affordable 4×4 SUV one can buy in India. Modifications on Mahindra Thar can be divided into two sections. A section of buyers modify their SUV to make it more capable off-road. The other section modifies to achieve a premium look. Here we have a modified Mahindra Thar that has been tastefully modified into a butch off-road SUV.

The images have been shared by Classic Servicepoint, Noida on their Facebook channel. The main attraction on this SUV is the paint job. The SUV gets a Mohave Sand paint job. It is a colour which is found in Jeep Wrangler SUV. Several modifications have been done to the SUV that makes it look butch. It is not clear whether the owner has used peelable paint or wrap on this SUV. Overall, the car looks different from any other Thar that we have seen so far.

The front grille on the SUV remains the same as stock but, the whole area now gets a Line-X coating which protects the body from minor scratches while going off-road. The stock headlamps on the SUV has been replaced with aftermarket LED units with ring type LED DRLs. the original bumper on the Mahindra Thar is also replaced with an off-road bumper. A set of LED fog lamps are also integrated into the bumper. The bonnet of the Thar gets a custom made scoop as well. This gives it a muscular look. A body coloured metal skid plate is also installed on this SUV.

Coming to the side profile, the car gets gloss black aftermarket alloy wheels with chunky looking All-Terrain tyres. This is a hard top version and a set of auxiliary lamps are installed on the roof. The roof also gets Line-X coating which gives the Mahindra Thar a rugged look. As we move to the rear, the Thar retains the original bumper but, it also gets a Line-X coating just like many other parts. The post does not show whether the interiors on this Thar have been customised or not. Overall, the SUV looks a lot more rugged and ready to conquer any terrain.

Mahindra launched Thar in 2020 and it became a popular choice among buyers for various reasons. It had improved a lot in terms of features and build quality and was offered with both petrol and diesel engine options. Mahindra Thar petrol uses a 2.0 litre turbocharged mStallion petrol engine which generates 150 Bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. The diesel version of the SUV gets 2.2 litre turbocharged engine that generates 130 Bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. Both petrol and diesel engine options come with manual and automatic transmission and 4×4 is offered as a standard feature.
