Thomas Cup winner asks Anand Mahindra for quick delivery of XUV700: Here’s his response

India created history after winning the iconic Thomas Cup badminton tournament earlier this month. Chirag Shetty, who was part of the team tweeted asking Anand Mahindra to expedite the delivery of his car. Anand Mahindra further escalated the issue on Twitter and said that even he has booked an XUV700 for his wife and they are waiting to get the car.

Anand Mahindra congratulated the Thomas Cup team. Chirag Shetty, who was a part of the team replied to the tweet and said that he has booked the XUV700 and is looking forward to getting the car soon.

The bossman of Mahindra and Mahindra quoted the tweet and asked Vijay Nakra, President, of Mahindra Automobiles to pay attention to this particular order. Anand Mahindra also said that he has booked an XUV700 for his wife and even he is in the queue to get the car. he also said that the global chain disruptions are causing delays among all the car manufacturers.

Mahindra is known to gift vehicles to successful sports personalities in India. In the past, many have received brand-new vehicles from Anand Mahindra. The brand has even gifted customised Thar to the 2016 Olympics medal winners – PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik.

Recently, he announced Mahindra XUV700 for all the Olympic Gold medal winners including Neeraj Chopra. He gifted special customised XUV700 cars to the Olympians designed by Pratap Bose.

The top-spec AX7 Luxury Pack variant, which gets all the bells and whistles like full LED headlamps and tail lamps, 18-inch machined alloy wheels and a fully digital cockpit with TFT instrument console and touchscreen infotainment system. It also gets a 360-degree camera, premium sound system from Sony, flush-type door handles, panoramic sunroof, drive modes, powered driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control and a range of ADAS safety features.

The all-new Mahindra XUV700 with 2.2-litre mHawk diesel and the 2.0-litre mStallion petrol engine. It is quick and can do 0-60 in just 5 seconds. Mahindra offers three driving modes with the all-new XUV700 that will change the behaviour of the engine. Mahindra has not revealed the official power and torque figures of the all-new XUV700.

The petrol engine generates a maximum power of 200 PS and a peak torque of 380 Nm. While the diesel mHawk generates a maximum of 155 PS and peak torque of 360 Nm. Mahindra has not revealed the transmission options as of now.
