Toyota Etios variants and prices across five major Indian cities!

On December 1^st 2010, Toyota launched the Etios sedan with prices starting from Rs. 4.99 lakh. Here we take a closer look at what each variant of the Etios offers us and what their prices are across five major Indian cities.

The Etios sedan has a smiling grille at the front. The blacked out B-pillar and subtle lines on the doors give character to the otherwise plain design to the sedan. The rectangular shape of the car’s rear has a fat chrome strip that renders a premium feel to the Etios.

The Etios is powered by a 1.5 litre 16 valve DOHC petrol engine that produces 89 bhp and 132 Nm, while the ARAI claims an impressive 17.64 km/litre mileage. The Etios diesel is powered by  4-cylinder, D-4D 1,364 cc diesel engine that makes 67 bhp of power and 170 Nm of torque and returns ARAI-certified mileage of 23.59 kmpl.

The petrol Etios is available in four trims: J, G, G SP, V and VX while the diesel Etios is available in three variants: GD, VD and VXD.  Let’s take a closer look at what each variant offers.

Variant 1: Toyota Etios J petrol (Rs.4.99 lakh)

The J variant of the Etios does not get power steering, power windows and keyless entry though it comes with AC, remote fuel lid opener, remote tailgate opener, cooled glove box, immobilizer and door ajar warning.

Etios G petrol (Rs.5.54 lakh) and Etios GD diesel (Rs. 6.44 lakh)

The Etios G is equipped with features of base variants plus electric power steering, power windows, central locking, tilt steering, four speakers, assist grip with coat hooks (3) and keyless entry.

Etios G SP petrol (Rs.5.99 lakh) and Etios GD SP diesel (Rs. 6.89 lakh)

Toyota offers the Etios G SP (Safety Package) with safety features such as dual airbags, ABS, EBD and driver seat belt warning. It retains all the features offered in the G variant

Etios V (Rs.6.51 lakh) and Etios VD (Rs. 7.41 lakh)

The V variant of the Etios includes all the features in the G SP variant and also includes SRS airbags, ABS, EBD, chrome front fog lamps, music system, rear wiper and washer, 12-spoke alloy wheels and rear defogger.

The Etios VX is the fully loaded variant with features including as side skirt, DVD audio system, sporty leather wrapped steering wheel and audio controls on steering wheel
