The ex-showroom price of the Toyota Fortuner – India’s best selling luxury SUV – has now crossed Rs. 50 lakh for the first time. The eye-watering price tag of Rs. 50.34 lakh for the top-end Fortuner GR-Sport model comes on the back of the latest price hike to the tune of Rs. 77,000. Prices of other Toyota cars such as the Innova Crysta, Vellfire and Camry have also been hiked. Innova Crysta prices are dearer by about Rs. 23,000 while the Vellfire and Camry are pricier by Rs. 1.85 lakh and Rs. 90,000 respectively. The latest round of price hikes effected by Toyota Kirloskar Motors Limited has been attributed to rising input costs by the automaker.
